A salt spray chamber is a specialised testing instrument that simulates severe, salty conditions to determine the corrosion resistance of materials and coatings. The salt spray chamber produces a controlled environment in which samples are exposed to a fine mist of salty solution, usually sodium chloride, for a set amount of time, allowing producers to monitor the corrosion process over time. In the salt spray test chamber, a salt solution is atomised to produce a thin mist that constantly covers the sample.
