IV Sedation Dentistry
IV sedation is delivered directly into the veins and works quickly to relax a patient. This is a conscious sedation technique, which means a patient will feel relaxed but aware throughout the procedure. Our experienced dental team monitors your level of sedation throughout the procedure to ensure that you remain comfortable and leave with little to no memory of your procedure.

Nitrous Oxide Sedation Dentistry
Nitrous oxide sedation is often referred to as laughing gas. Delivered through a nasal mask, nitrous oxide sedation works immediately and does not have lasting effects. Most patients are able to drive home and continue their day as usual after receiving nitrous oxide sedation. Because the method of delivery is not as intimidating as IV sedation, we may recommend this type of sedation for patients who are afraid of needles or for children who require sedation.

Oral Sedation
For oral sedation, our dentists will provide you with sedatives that can be taken orally before your appointment. We will provide you with detailed instructions about when and how to take your sedatives, which should take effect shortly before your scheduled appointment. Oral sedation does not wear off as quickly as nitrous oxide sedation, so patients should arrange a ride home from our dental offices.
