Lumineers vs. Veneers
Veneers

Dental veneers are coatings, typically fabricated from porcelain, that are bonded to the external surface of your teeth. They require some preparation beforehand, mainly the etching of your enamel; some of it needs to be removed so the veneers can stick nicely.

Moulds are made of your smile and sent off to a dental laboratory. This information helps ensure that your veneers fit your oral dimensions properly.

Many people are eager to acquire dental veneers because they can cover up several minor cosmetic issues including broken, severely worn, and stained teeth.

Lumineers

Lumineers are a special type of dental veneer, sometimes called “no-prep veneers”. One of the biggest differences is that lumineers are not created from porcelain; rather, they’re made from a very thin laminate. As a result, they’re more translucent, so if you’re dealing with extremely dark discoloration, this may not be the best choice for you.
