Founded in 1942, The Northeastern Ohio Inter-Museum Council serves over 100 institutional members in Cuyahoga and six adjacent counties. Members range from large, internationally renowned museums in major urban centers to metro parks, nature facilities and small local history museums spread across parts of the Western Reserve.
The Council provides a group forum for airing common goals and issues; sponsors educational workshops for museum staff and volunteers; hosts general meetings at member museums; and provides e-mail message board broadcasts for member museum activities.
