Summary:

A Turkish SME focused on geographic information systems (GIS) has developed a precision farming solution as variable rate application (VRA) on fertilizing progress and spraying progress. The VRA has been integrated with their yield monitoring maps. This offers end users to conserve fertilizer without sacrificing yield. The SME is requesting SMEs and companies for manufacturing agreement.
Description:
Fertilizer is the most important and costly raw material input of the agricultural production stage. Optimization of fertilizer use, besides the economic contribution on the agricultural production, affects the fertility level of soil, and pollution level of soil and ground water, cost of production and quality level agricultural output.
A Turkish SME focused on Geographic Information Systems has developed a precision farming solutions as variable rate application (VRA) on fertilizing progress and spraying progress. The VRA has been integrated with their yield monitoring maps.
The algorithm used by the product uses yield maps and soil maps as input data. Precise fertilizing is performed according to the nutrient needs of soil. Maps are created by geographically coordinated cluster sampling results of the agriculture field. The main terminal of the product reads the soil nutrient map data from user monitor (mobile device / tablet PC) and controls the dosing unit of system that traditionally manufactured fertilizing machines. The product is already on the market for 2 years in Adana region, one of the most fertile places for agriculture. Successful results have been observed. Currently 25%-30% fertilizer conservation has been attained on a pneumatic drill machine with fertilizer tank without sacrificing from yield.
The SME is requesting SMEs and companies for manufacturing agreement. Further details on each partnership type could be discussed upon request.
