Welcome! I’m so glad you’ve taken this first step toward seeking support, and I’d like to share a little bit about myself and how I can help. I am a native of Virginia Beach where I live with my husband, our cocker spaniel and a spunky little white-capped pionus parrot. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, going to the beach, biking, listening to live music, taking photographs, and learning about (and buying!) new tech gadgets. I went to James Madison University in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley in Virginia where I majored in biology and minored in psychology. After working for a pediatric geneticist for a few years, I went to Norfolk State University where I earned my master’s degree in social work. I have worked in a variety of clinical settings including pediatric hospice, a program for adults infected or affected by HIV, a homelessness prevention program, Jewish Family Services and private practice with a group and now on my own.
