Our otolaryngologists are Board certified with decades of experience in the profession. They work in performance with nurses and office team who try to understand your health concerns quickly and apply the appropriate treatment to obtain you back to your optimal health. We also have 2 Audiologists on team to assist with the diagnosis and treatment of adults and children with hearing and balance related disorders. A native of Maryland, Dr. Shields got his undergraduate degree from Samford University and his medical level at the University of Alabama School of Medicine. He completed an internship in general surgery and a residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch in 2005.
